The guide
What’s on, where, and when.
Today, See Now, See Later, Calendar, Atlas, and All to See turn a crowded cultural calendar into something you can actually use — sorted by date, neighborhood, venue, and category.
About Sees Journal
Sees Journal is an independent cultural guide and editorial desk for the art, theater, and drag that make a city worth leaving the house for.
Our mission
We gather the shows, performances, openings, talks, and nights that matter into one clear daily guide — then add the context that helps people decide what is genuinely worth their time.
Sees Journal now covers San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle, and Boston, with more cities to come. Every edition starts with the local ecosystem: museums and storefront galleries, artist-run rooms and university spaces, theaters, clubs, and the people making work happen there.
The guide

The criticism
Original reviews and essays treat exhibitions as more than content. They ask what the work does, what it inherits, and whether it earns the attention it asks for.
The record
Our Atlas gives spaces a home of their own. The Journal lets readers save what they have seen, build routes, and keep a personal record of their time with the work.
How we work
Sees Journal is not affiliated with museums, galleries, theaters, or venues. Listings are drawn from public calendars and announcements, refreshed regularly, and organized with a reader’s actual plans in mind. Dates, hours, and lineups change, so confirm with the venue before you go.
Institutions do not need to submit a listing. If something is missing or wrong, a tip or correction helps us make the guide better.
